Put Pandora Back in Her Box

Image
By Rev Wilbur Witt Ok! Post Graduate Sex Education. This will be graphic, so if you are Woke, broke, or recently poked you might want to skip this class. Let us begin. Back in the day sex education was mainly concerned with avoiding VD or better known as Venereal Disease. At that time there were only two, Siphilis, known as “The Sift,” and Gonorrhea or “ Clap .” With the addition of other conditions and maladies VD became STDs or Sexually Transmitted Disease to at least get the occurrence down to a manageable number. Our sex education was usually handled by Coach Widacke because his weight and cigar exuded authority and gave the impression that he’d know more about sex than Miss Hornbuckle. Miss Prigmore, the Music Teacher seemed to know a lot about sex, but we’re not going to talk about that right now. As much as 1960s teachings, religion, and police lectures warned against pre-marital sex, it did happen, and penicillin was very popular. The Clap wouldn’t kill you but it w...

Rev Wilbur Witt America is in one hell of a mess! Any time a New York, white, male, billionaire, real estate broker, with a drop dead gorgeous wife can’t be elected president while his opponent hides in a basement talking to himself, we have a problem! I want you guys to just count all those trigger words I just used there.  And the Mexicans are not the problem! I’m sorry to be the first to tell you people, but not all Mexicans are in a cartel. First, let’s define the word “Mexican.” A Mexican is a citizen of the Republic of Mexico. Just like any other country. And Mexico sits on the southern end of the North American Continent. So, therefore, that would technically make them American, just like us, just like the Canadians, just like California!  Do they have a tendency to come across the border and pick a few oranges? Who else is gonna pick them? You? There is Texas, Mexico, and TexMex. TexMex is a whole different situation. Back in my day it was obligatory for high sc...

You Have to Eat the Week all at Once

By Rev Wilbur Witt You really have to take the bad with the good. We, in America, have been through the most turbulent twenty-five years in our nation’s history. We burst onto the twenty-first century with 911. I got up that morning to the destruction of the World Trade Center. Take a look at that! A World Trade Center! Come to America! Give us your tired, your poor. Your diseased. Your illiterate. Your ungodly. And every other abomination known to man and the wild animals in Africa. And we will wipe their dirty asses and give them central air. And what did we get? All the things listed above. And what did they do? Blew up the Trade Center because some crazy old man said Allah told them to do it. On my freaking birthday!  Now New York elected the same trash who rode those planes to be mayor. Are you sure these idiots won the Civil War? Yeah yeah yeah. We had slaves in the south. And they picked cotton. And New York sent the cotton to London so they could parade around in nic...

Death Rides a Pale Horse

Rev Wilbur Witt Today a madman stood outside of a church in Minneapolis, fired a rifle through the window at children as they sat at Mass. Let that sink in. Take a moment. Children! In church. Through the stained glass. After he was done, the shooter went to the rear of the church and dispatched himself as well he should. If there is a hell, he’s there. Click for announcement by Sheriff I want you to notice. This was horrible but did you see how if didn’t affect you like the first time you saw something like this. Did you check the body count so you could rank today’s event against other mass shootings? Did you have a preconceived opinion of the Catholic Church where it happened. Did you move on to another news story? Don’t feel bad. We all do it. When Charles Whitman opened fire at the University of Texas he set the gold standard for mass murder. He held his crown for a number of years. George Hennard took it, and frankly I don’t know who holds the record today. Time was ...

The Bubble Gum Machine

by Rev Wilbur Witt We are tested in many ways. We can be ashes, or fine gold. It’s all up to us. God does not bring evil. He gives us the ability to cope. He gives us knowledge and faith. Not foolishness! Like the man trapped on a roof during a flood who turned away three attempts to save him waiting on The Lord. After his folly he met The Lord.  Sometimes the events are indescribable. Six million Jewish people. Wars and rumors of wars, and broken governments existing only to line the pockets with the people’s money. Or twenty-seven little ladies at a summer camp. All gone. In our grief we have to blame someone.  Despite his intense questioning, Job expresses a profound conviction that, even if God were to "slay" him, he would still trust Him.  For what other choice do we have? Bad things happen to good people, but good things happen to bad people. And The Lord said, “It is what it is!” Well, I don’t think He said it exactly like that, but words to that effect....

The Alpha and the Trap

Click For “We Want To Be Somewhere” By Rev Wilbur Witt When you are in the entertainment business the idea has been to reach as many people as possible as quickly as possible. For that you had to have distribution. To get distribution you need connections and to get connections you had to make deals. The trip from conception to customer would dilute whatever you originally produced but the object of the game was bank. This is the difference between the book and the movie, the song and the release, the Beatles and Herman’s Hermits. And it was carved in stone. Everyone knew that if you could get but a fragment of your original idea out to the public you counted it as a win. And the public had to take whatever was on the plate. Then the internet came. Not all at once, but occasionally and then more often than not new and sometimes complete ideas made it through. Still, these didn’t last. A song would rise to the top, and then quickly disappear. This happened because the distribution...

I’m gonna prophecy here. No matter what your religious belief is we can all agree that as time, matter, and observation tell us, we are one day closer to whatever end you may subscribe to. Years ago there was this big Mayan scare about 2012. Great minds in New York as well of other well lettered civilized people threw all caution to the wind and bought into the ramblings of a bunch of savages who sacrificed little girls and ate their liver! So, we all lined up to wait for the earth to melt into the sun. So, December 21, 2012 came and went and on the 22nd (My mom’s birthday by the way) we were all still here. I didn’t hear about any billionaires giving away all their money in anticipation of the big event. Come to find out the Mayans were hip to a celestial event: On the  solstice  of December 21, 2012, the Sun, as seen from the Earth, crossed the plane of the Milky Way Galaxy near its center. This type of alignment of the path of the Sun with the plane of our Galaxy tak...

He is Bigger Than any Book

Why do you worry about God? Of course there is a creator, because you can see a creation, and naturally assume there had to be a cause. But do you really believe that He is taking His time waiting for you to make a mistake so He can punish or reward you, because if you make a mistake He waits like and angry schoolmaster with a switch? And on the last day He counts your stripes. Your time on earth is not gonna mean a thing 10 minutes after your dead! So, why should you demand the undivided attention of the creator of all that is seen or unseen? Of course He could do it, but why? Why, when He made you fully equipped for day-to-day maintenance and problem solving? It says right there in that bible you revere so much that after God created man He said, “I made it, you run it!”    Consider the day you die. Preparations for your funeral will be made. Either your survivors’ grief or your ego will be on display. Dead is dead. My son paid for my funeral. All expenses p...
