What Really Happened to Baby Jane

Many years ago, in Texas a six-month-old baby girl was discovered dead in her crib. Her whole life had been spent in hospital in a nearby town. She was born severely disabled. She had been released the day she died. She wasn’t well. Far from it. Such a child needed much care, she got a crib in an RV, where she was found dead!

The police came and made the report that was routine for babies who were expected to die. Yet the events of the night of her death were full of contradictions. A case was picked up by the Bell County District Attorney. A grand jury was convened. Witnesses were called. All but one. Big Red was his street name, and he was key to the case because he was there.

The grand jury no-billed the case, and a little girl we choose to call “Baby Jane” lies in a nondescript grave somewhere in a Texas graveyard. She wasn’t famous like Jon Benét. Her death didn’t make national news. She didn’t even make the local papers, but we will try to change that when we delve into What Really Happened to Baby Jane.
