Welcome back to False Flag! The Heritage Foundation is still in the throes of its Nick Fuentes controversy, and the waves of leaks and resignations emerging from the powerful conservative think tank every time Heritage president Kevin D. Roberts tries to clean things up aren’t helping.


On Wednesday, Roberts—who pulled Heritage into this mess last week by defending Tucker Carlson’s image-laundering interview with the racist podcaster Fuentes—suffered yet another blow when a leaker gave the Washington Free Beacon a video of Roberts bumbling around in a nearly two-hour meeting meant for him to apologize to Heritage staff.


In Roberts’s telling, he was essentially duped by his chief of staff, who resigned last week, into publishing a tweet praising Carlson and pushing back on Fuentes’s critics. Now Roberts says, incredibly, that he barely knows who Nick Fuentes is in the first place!


“I didn’t know much about this Fuentes guy,” he said. “I still don’t.”
